Super warm Sunday

Hopefully this will work - our internet is not liking the wind outside and is very temperamental. Nick woke up and came down to get me a bit before midnight last night - I walked him back to bed and tucked him back in. We were all up early this morning. I made banana chocolate chip pancakes and Rob had made us some coffee. It was another long day for Rob but we at least got to eat breakfast with him before he needed to leave today. The kids and I got dressed and then we ran to Lowes to pick up the last part of Katherine's present - some fresh herbs. We came home and Ellie helped me re-pot the herbs and then the kids played around the house while I baked our french toast casserole. When it finished baking we headed to Mom's for brunch. The kids were sooo happy that it was warm today and they got to play outside the majority of the day. Jo, Tony and Katherine arrived and we sat down for a very delish brunch. We had cheese strata, french toast casserole, potato pancakes, fruit salad, bagels - it was very good. The kids quickly abandoned us to play with the neighbor boys. We got to visit without interruptions - it was very nice. The thermometer at one point read more than 90 degrees. The kids came in and it was very apparent they would require a very bubbly bath tonight - they were black with dirt. The kids had a drink and then we came home. We got home and took the kids bikes out and Rob pulled in - good timing. We sat and visited while the kids played. It is wonderful after a long winter to see all the kids playing and talking. We finally got the kids inside for shower/bath time and the water was filthy. We had sandwiches for dinner so we didn't have to heat up the house anymore than the hot day did. The kids zoned out to a movie and then we went up to bed. I thought for sure the kids would both just pass out but that didn't happen. Rob and I watched tv and it is still so warm inside. The breeze (the wind) is making it bearable. My feet were happy to be in sandals today but have been pretty pins and needles this evening. Another busy week ahead - appointments with Dr. Muldoon and Dr. Marsh, conference for Nick, dinner with old friends. Visualising my healthy and continually healing body and the new normal, Tree
