Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone reading this has a lovely Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Monday was the only day of school for the kids this week. I got to visit with both of their teachers for conferences. They both went well and the kids are where they are to be. Ellie watched Nick for the couple minutes I had to run to school...without killing one another.
Tuesday we went downtown to Macy's for our annual lunch with Mom and Dad. We ate in the Walnut Room. Matteo joined us this year, too. It was nice, we didn't have to wait too long and they really weren't hurrying us along at the table. We weren't too far from the tree. The fairy came around to grant our wishes...the glitter she bestows over our heads will be there come Christmas. We saw Santa and the kids got to tell him their list. The kids dropped their lists off in the Believe mailbox before we went outside to see the windows.
We spent the afternoon at Mom and Dad's house. We watched Christmas Story 2. The kids played with Matteo. We left and went to Costco to do some shopping. We needed to pick up fruit for the week, milk and the kids wanted to look through the toy aisles. We ate at Culver's for dinner before heading home.
Wednesday morning we went to see Wreck It Ralph at the movie theater. It was a cute movie. The theater was packed and we ended up in the front section because there weren't any seats up. We did a bit of shopping at Meijer. We took the folding table over the the GGs for Thanksgiving. We helped set the table while we were there. We came home and the kids played outside until it got dark. We picked up videos from the store and pizza for dinner. The new Family video in Skokie is great. For each new release you get a free older video. We left with 8 videos for $4.00.
We watched Eloise Christmas after dinner. We got ready for bed and I read to each of the kids and tucked them in. When I came downstairs, I realized that Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving was on and I called them down to watch the last part.
Rob has had a basketball game each night this week and has one on Friday and Saturday, too. He didn't get home until late tonight. Visualizing my healthy and continually healing body and the new normal, Tree

  1. Yesterday was very nice...OK, there were a couple of things we'll prefer to forget in the future, but that's what living in the moment is all about! Happy Thanksgiving, Sweetie. I am always so thankful that you are who you are and that Jo is who she is...we're blessed with two wonderful daughters! Love ya, Mom
