It's my 1st Cancerversary

One year ago today, I awoke with a cancerous tumor but fell asleep without it!
Let's see, yesterday, Nick and I went on our first rummage adventure of the fall. It was the 3 church sale in Highland Park. I had very specific things I was looking for - pants for Nick (we recently tried on some pants and realized Nick has grown during the summer). 1st sale we did luck into a pair of jeans (looking at them today I think they might be girls) and a new in package 36" intertube. I am collecting the tubes for our Florida trip - you need them for the lazy river at the resort sells them for like $10 each. We walked down to the next sale and found another new intertube and a Find It game and a almost new pair of Dansko clogs. Didn't find anything at the last sale.
We stopped in at Target and did some grocery shopping. We ate lunch at Whole Foods where I discovered my newest addiction - pesto parmesan couscous. it is in the deli and is soooo tasty. We came home and Ellie got off the bus - they went outside to play with the neighbors. Rob got his new license after work and then came home.
We ate dinner and then Ellie and I finished up a book before we got the kids to sleep. I have to say, whatever Patricia did for sleep the other day did seem to work. I have been feeling sleepy around 12:30AM and falling asleep on the couch sometime there after.
This morning we had breakfast and Rob made us some coffee before he was off to work. We had a lazier morning. Ellie and I did Just Dance together and then Nick and Ellie played Cars while I showered and got clothes ready for them. We headed off to see if there were any good sales but there weren't. We stopped by the library to return books and games. We had lunch at Annie's - we had our gift certificate from Back Lot bash.
We came home and the kids went out to play. Mom and Dad picked us up for the warehouse sale at Science & Surplus. The sale wasn't as good as other years - or it might be that we have so much crap that we limit more crap coming in. Mom and Dad took the kids for the afternoon and evening. I got all the linens changed and did laundry. I got a cobbler made for family Sunday and some muffins for breakfast this week. I made dinner for Rob and me.
We watched a movie and ate dinner and weren't interrupted - it was great, thanks Mom and Dad. The kids came home and Nick got into the tub for a bath. Ellie was still working on trying to get her tooth out. I tried to numb it with orajel and a bit of red wine. It is still too attached to just pull out.

Cancer Wellness Center (CWC) really helped my family through my journey with cancer. They provided me and Ellie a very safe place to discuss our feelings and thoughts about cancer. Their therapist were extremely knowledgeable about cancer and how to live life with it. CWC continues to provide me with education as a survivor with seminars, classes and inspiration. If you are looking to support a cancer program locally, I strongly encourage you to support Cancer Wellness Center.
On October 15th they will be hosting one of their major fundraisers, Clubbin' for a Cause. I have raffle tickets with some very awesome prizes. The tickets are $25.00 each or 5 for $100.00. You can select which prize you want your ticket to be entered in. If you are interested in purchasing and helping this wonderful center out please let me know. I want to thank cancer for providing me an additional day to celebrate each year. I think the new normal is pretty awesome. I am far healthier than I was 18 months ago. I have a new confidence; I do what I want to do and have learned to say no. Thank you for sticking with me and supporting me throughout my journey. Visualising my healthy and continually healing body and the new normal, Tree
