Happy Mother's Day

It has been a pretty relaxing day. We hung out here in the morning. We went over to Mom and Dad's at noon for Sunday dinner, we made it lunch instead today. Mom had made a feast, as usual. We had strada, french toast, bagels, fruit, bacon and fak'on. The kids braved the cold weather and played outside for a bit with Dad. It was a great time.
We came home and Rob was going to play with the kids outside but it really was chilly. They came in and Ellie worked on cards for teacher appreciation week, Nick played with Legos. I did laundry and put away a couple bins of clothes. Ellie and I have been trying to read a bit more each day to finish up this book before the end of the school year, so we got some extra time in this afternoon. We had dinner and went up to get the kids to bed.
Saturday we started the day with National Train Day at Union Station. We have been spoiled the last couple years with some fun entertainment and goodies and were a bit disappointed this year. The redeeming factor was the kids depot with Chuggington where the kids got a safety vest and wooden train. We walked down to the Metra station and had lunch before heading back home. We did get some playtime outside in the afternoon. Rob got home around dinnertime from Michigan. He and Dean worked hard to clean up so we have a clean cottage. We had dinner and family movie night.
Nothing great to share about Thursday or Friday. We went to Dr. Gallai for our visit on Friday night. Nick does have a cavity but because of its location and size it can, more than likely, be blamed on his one inhaler. I have my tests tomorrow. Routine at this point, nothing to get stressed about anymore. I have my little hot pack for my hand to warm my veins up and hopefully that will make the IV a bunch easier. Visualizing my healthy and continually healing body and the new normal, Tree
